The treatment of strychnine poisoning is to immediately evacuate the stomach with a stomach-pump or emetic, chloroform being administered to allay the spasms. If the patient can swallow, draughts of water containing tannic acid may be given.
The attraction became stronger on both sides, in spite of occasional spasms of doubt.
If the spasms spread to the back muscles, the spine may become strongly arched backward.
The clinical signs of lactation tetany are muscular spasms and convulsions, and death due to respiratory failure.
A larger dose is sometimes given at night to prevent spasms that interfere with sleep.
