Optical Resonator Definition

A part of a laser, consisting of two mirrors, one highly reflective and one partially reflective, placed on either side of a laser pump and between which light bounces back and forth, enhancing stimulated emission within the pump. Light is emitted from the optical resonator through the partly reflective mirror.
