Any of several types of mucopolysaccharidosis characterized by the presence of dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate in the urine, usually divided into a severe type known as Hurler syndrome (MPS IH), an attenulated type known as Scheie syndrome (MPS IS), and an intermediate type known as Hurler-Scheie syndrome (MPS IH/S).
