Minimum Contacts Definition

A defendant’s activities within or affecting the state in which a lawsuit is brought, that are considered legally sufficient to support jurisdiction in that state’s courts.

(law) In United States civil procedure, the contact required between a party and a state in order for the courts of that state to constitutionally assert personal jurisdiction over that party.
