Conversion Disorder Definition

A psychiatric disorder characterized by the presence of symptoms, such as paralysis, tremor, or visual or auditory problems, that resemble those of nervous system dysfunction but cannot be explained by a neurological disorder. Development of the disorder is often associated with psychological stress or trauma.
