Leukemia characterized by the abnormal proliferation of immature granulocytes or other myeloid cells in the blood, bone marrow, and other tissues, with symptoms including fatigue, easy bruising and bleeding, and infections. It is divided into several subtypes, occurs in both children and adults, and is the most common type of acute leukemia in adults.
