Cryptosyringida Definition
A taxonomic superclass within the subphylum Eleutherozoa — the sea urchins and similar organisms.
Origin of Cryptosyringida
The cryptosyringids owe their name to the fact that their radial water vascular system and radial nerve become covered during development, a trait that was viewed as a synapomorphy of the group (1).
